The MESIA Solar Awards is the industry’s longest standing, premier awards ceremony, this year, featuring new categories, new submissions criteria and evaluations.

This year’s event aims to highlight the transformation of our sector while continuing to celebrate exceptional talent and achievements in the MENA solar market.

Jury and Selection Process
As always, a panel of independent expert judges in the industry, chosen for their knowledge and impartiality, will select the award winners in each category.

Award Categories

Must be located in the MENA region / Financial close in 2024 / Must be for own consumption of non-residential private offtaker
Must present one project located in MENA / Advisory service must have taken place between November 2023 and November 2024
Solar+storage or any other hybrid system / project may be gridconnected or stand-alone in MENA region
Must present one project located in MENA / Advisory service must have taken place between November 2023 and November 2024
Notable Contribution to Research and Technology / International Project Contributions / Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer
Must be located in the MENA region / Must be a Net-Zero project, targeting any residential/non residential private or public sector
The project may include solar only, solar and storage, or any other hybrid system incorporating solar technologies / The project must have been constituted before November 2024.
Must be located in the MENA region / under the age of 30 / have published a white paper or technical research paper in the Solar or Hybrid Renewable Energy sector between November 2023 and November 2024 / and have demonstrated any other exceptional achievements, with the submission including a CV or resume.
Companies or SME’s must have internal staff of under 100 people / Company must be headquartered in the MENA region / Project/Service must be done outside the scope of the MENA region
Schemes that promote diversity and inclusion / Innovative use of partners and technologies / Deliverability of the initiative / Clear metrics and results
Project must be based in the MENA Region / Regional Implementation of the Technology / Impact of the technology on a Key Project in the Region
