Having exhibited at the World Future Energy Summit 2025, what were your main objectives for participating, and do you feel they were achieved?
The World Future Energy Summit is a strategic platform for Nextracker, enabling us to engage with key customers in a region that not only sets high renewable energy ambitions but also successfully completes and commissions large-scale solar projects at an accelerated pace.
At WFES 2025, our key objectives were to:
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers at the executive and leadership level aligning on future opportunities and demonstrate our long-term commitment in the region
- Gain deeper insights into the region’s growth trajectory and evolving renewable energy landscape.
- Engage directly with customers to understand the challenges they face in deploying large-scale solar projects.
- Capture customer expectations for product innovations that drive higher performance, reliability, and long-term value.
Our participation at World Future Energy Summit 2025 was highly productive, allowing us to connect with key stakeholders, reaffirm our commitment to the region, and gather critical market intelligence. These discussions reinforced our focus on developing advanced solar tracking solutions tailored for the Middle East’s unique conditions—ensuring greater efficiency, adaptability, and resilience in large-scale solar deployments.
Were there any significant updates, partnerships, or breakthroughs during the summit that you would like to highlight?
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Jakson Green for REPDO IV – 400 MW in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This collaboration is a key milestone in expanding our footprint in the region and underscores our commitment to advancing the Kingdom’s renewable energy ambitions.
Additionally, we launched a case study on NX Horizon-XTR™, showcasing Nextracker’s largest single-location terrain-following solution at Al Kahfah, KSA. This project exemplifies how our advanced tracking technology enables solar deployment on challenging terrain while optimizing energy yield.
The summit also provided a valuable opportunity to engage with major developers and EPCs across the region, strengthening relationships and reinforcing our role as a trusted partner in the Middle East’s solar energy transition.
Our regional events to foster knowledge sharing and technical sessions on Nextracker’s latest technology were well appreciated by our customers.
What were the key takeaways from your participation at the World Future Energy Summit 2025, and how did the event contribute to your business goals?
The World Future Energy Summit continues to expand in scale and influence with each edition, mirroring the region’s rapid strides in renewable energy deployment. A key takeaway from this year’s summit is the increasing adoption of advanced technologies, including high-efficiency solar modules, energy storage systems, and green hydrogen solutions. This reflects the government’s strong commitment to addressing energy intermittency and grid stability challenges while accelerating the transition to a sustainable energy future.
For Nextracker, the summit provided an invaluable platform to engage with industry leaders, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, and explore opportunities to further enhance solar project performance with our innovative tracker solutions.
It was particularly rewarding to receive validation from our customers on the successful installation of NX Horizon-XTR™ at Al Kahfah, Saudi Arabia. This 1.17 GW project marks Nextracker’s largest single-site deployment of our terrain-following technology, showcasing our ability to enable large-scale solar installations on challenging landscapes while optimizing energy generation.
What trends or innovations did you notice at the summit that could shape the future of renewable energy in the MENA region?
One of the most significant trends at The World Future Energy Summit 2025 was the increasing focus on integrated solar PV projects with advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS). This shift highlights the region’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted renewable energy supply, a crucial step toward sustainable urban development and grid stability.
Additionally, while the cost of solar continues to remain competitive, the industry’s focus is now shifting toward innovations that enhance performance, reliability, and long-term value. As solar adoption accelerates, solutions that optimize efficiency, improve durability, and adapt to challenging terrains will play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s energy landscape.
