The Launch of the MESIA Solar Outlook Report 2025
On January 16, MESIA President Fazle Moyeen Quazi unveiled the highly anticipated MESIA Solar Outlook Report 2025, a cornerstone publication for the solar energy sector in the MENA region. Now in its 11th edition, the report continues to serve as an indispensable resource, offering deep insights into market trends, policy updates, and technological advancements.
This year’s report provided a comprehensive analysis of key opportunities shaping the solar industry, including next-generation solar cells, digitalization: advancements in O&M and system integration, nuclear drives, and several more. In addition, the report highlights over 14 countries in the MENA region, providing detailed analyses of markets such as the UAE, KSA, Tunisia, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and more, offering invaluable insights into the region's solar potential. Widely distributed at the World Future Energy Summit 2025 and accessible online, the report’s reach extends to thousands of industry stakeholders, cementing its reputation as an essential tool for decision-makers, investors, and policymakers.

13th Edition of the MESIA Solar Awards
On the evening of January 15, MESIA hosted the prestigious MESIA Solar Awards Ceremony 2025, supported by platinum sponsors Sungrow, Trina Solar, JA Solar, Jinko Solar, and Huawei. Over 250 attendees celebrated the extraordinary achievements of individuals and organizations that have significantly advanced solar energy adoption and innovation.

- Utility Scale Solar Project Developer of 2024: Awarded to Acwa Power for its transformative contributions to large-scale solar energy projects in the MENA region.
- C&I & Residential Project of 2024: Recognized Yellow Door Energy for its innovative commercial and residential solar installations.
- Outstanding MENA Solar Talent Development Program of the Year: Claimed by Solarabic, which also triumphed in two additional categories—Visual Solar Media and Next Gen Solar Leader—achieving a remarkable hat trick for the night.
The evening was a perfect blend of celebration and networking, with industry leaders gathering to honor the winners and connect with peers. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and a shared vision for the future of solar energy in the region.
