JinkoSolar Announces 24.8% TOPCon Solar Module Efficiency
Leading Chinese solar PV manufacturer JinkoSolar has launched the world’s ‘most powerful’ modules with up to 670 W and 495 W output, and a power conversion efficiency of up to 24.8%. This latest iteration of these TOPCon modules from its portfolio is named Tiger Neo 3.0.
The new products launched in the Tiger Neo 3.0 portfolio comprise what the manufacturer claims are the solar industry’s 1st ever 495 W residential modules called Neo DG, while the Neo Utility panels can reach up to 670 W output. The bifacial factor for the bifacial version is up to 85%, it claims.
JinkoSolar said, “A higher generation of TOPCon panels under low light conditions has been verified on the front side compared to other technologies. In addition, the Tiger Neo 3.0 series has lower VOC and higher Isc which contributes to lower BOS than its counterparts.”
The manufacturer added that these panels use the company’s patented n-type TOPCon technology that helps them deliver a bifacial factor of up to 85%. These are designed for a first-year degradation of 1%, and an annual linear degradation rate of 0.4% from then on.
JinkoSolar is offering a 12/25-year product, and 30-year linear power output warranty for these panels.
