As Sol-Bright’s Sales Director for the Middle East, I lead business development, strategic partnerships, and project delivery across the region. With over a decade of experience in solar robotics and utility-scale O&M, I specialize in deploying water-free cleaning solutions for harsh environments like deserts. My expertise covers market entry strategies, technical sales, and after-sales support tailored to local needs. I’ve helped major developers boost energy yield while reducing water dependency and labor costs. I’m passionate about driving automation in PV plant maintenance to maximize ROI for our clients.
What motivated Sol-Bright to invest in the MENA’s solar industry?
Sol-Bright saw strong alignment between MENA’s solar boom and our water-free robotic cleaning technology. The region has abundant solar radiation but severe water scarcity—traditional cleaning methods are costly and unsustainable. Governments are expanding utility-scale solar projects, and asset owners need reliable, automated solutions to maintain peak efficiency without wasting water. Our dry-cleaning robots improve energy yield, reduce O&M costs, and operate reliably in desert conditions. What are your expectations for the MENA region in terms of growth and new opportunities for Sol-Bright?
We expect MENA to be one of Sol-Bright’s fastest-growing markets. As utility-scale solar expands across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and beyond, the need for water-free, automated cleaning solutions becomes critical. Our technology directly addresses the region’s water scarcity and harsh desert conditions. We see new opportunities in large-scale PV plants, hybrid projects,etc. With supportive government renewable targets and increasing focus on O&M efficiency, Sol-Bright is well-positioned to grow our partnerships, expand local service capabilities, and deliver proven ROI for asset owners. The next five years will be transformative for both the region and our business.
How do you see the effects of the increasing adoption of solar energy on the MENA’s economy in the coming years?
The growing adoption of solar energy in MENA will drive significant economic benefits. It reduces dependence on fossil fuels, freeing up more oil and gas for export. Lower electricity costs make energy-intensive industries more competitive and attract foreign investment. Large-scale solar projects create local jobs in manufacturing, installation, and O&M. With abundant sunlight, the region can become a green energy hub, exporting clean electricity or hydrogen. Additionally, solar power enhances water desalination and supports sustainable urban development. Overall, solar adoption will diversify economies, stabilize energy prices, and position MENA as a global leader in renewable energy.
