Sineng Electric Powers 925 MWp Solar Project, Boosting India’s Energy Transition
Kurnool, India, February 14, 2025 -- Sineng Electric, a global leader in solar and energy storage solutions, announces the successful commissioning of a 661MW (925MWp) solar project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Powered by Sineng’s cutting-edge solar energy solutions, the project has officially commenced commercial operations, marking a pivotal achievement in India's renewable energy journey.
India is steadfast in its commitment to climate action, aiming to achieve 500GW from non-fossil sources by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070. This ambitious roadmap has catalyzed substantial investments in renewables and relevant technologies, such as solar power. Aligned with this strategy, the project represents a significant step forward. It is part of the 975MW hybrid renewable energy system developed by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, which includes 661MW (925MWp) of solar power and 314MW of wind power.
For this transformative project, Sineng Electric provided 184 units of its flagship 3.3MW central inverter (EP-3300-HB-UD), delivering a cumulative capacity of 606 MWac. Featuring the maximum efficiency of up to 99%, advanced three-level topology technology, and a high DC/AC ratio, Sineng inverters significantly enhance energy yields and optimize LCOE. Notably, the products can deliver 3300kW without derating even in ambient temperatures up to 51ºC, demonstrating their resilience and adaptability to the region’s climatic conditions.
Throughout the project’s execution, Sineng ensured timely delivery of equipment and provided comprehensive on-site engineering support, showcasing outstanding technical expertise. This accomplishment underscores Sineng’s commitment to India’s energy sector through a proactive localization strategy spanning production, marketing, and customer support. It further solidifies Sineng’s leadership position in the local market.
