Webinar: Solar Energy Perspectives – Focus on Oman
Despite the massive disruptions of 2020, The Sultanate of Oman seems to be moving ahead with many of its solar and renewable energy projects. From Amin Power plant, which still stands as the world’s largest operational solar PV plant that is adopting bifacial module technology, to the Oman’s electricity sector being liberalized, new opportunities for private sector involvement at all levels are expected, including renewable energy, generation, transmission and distribution. Solar Rooftop segment is booming, with 10 -30% of residential buildings expected to be covered by solar panels over the next few years. Also, several new clean energy topics are emerging in the Sultanate such as Green Hydrogen and Floating Solar projects.
