Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Midfa

Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Midfa is the Vice Chair Person of the Emirates Environmental Group. His previous roles include CEO of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, General Management positions at the Ministry of Environment in Qatar, and the National Evion Research Centre in Abu Dhabi where he was Head of International relations.

Mr. Al Midfa continues to serve as a Board Member and Executive Committee Member of the Emirates Wildlife Society in the UAE and the Emirates Environmental Group, and Chairman of the Emirates Solar Industry Association.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science from the Western Oregan State University in the USA, and completed his Masters Degree from the UAE University.

Fazle Moyeen, with his 30+ years of experience in energy industry and global exposure spanning from South East Asia, MENA, Europe and UK market, can add insight and value to the changing energy mix dimension, penetration of green hydrogen in the renewable sphere and climate change dilemma that middle east has started to tackle in the coming days.

Moyeen’s experience and knowledge with respect to technology, supply chain, O&M, localisation, financing and infrastructure can be pivotal in leveraging the ideation of energy market policy and regulation for MESIA in addition to collaboration and promoting with a strategic mindset.

As I skeep my reappointment as a Secretary General of MESIA, I would like the opportunity to continue building on the association’s success over the last two years. Although challenged by the backdrop of the COVID era, we have had a great couple of years. Looking forward, my focus remains on expanding our membership, reaching untapped regions and enhancing collaborations between the public and private sector. It is also essential for me to provide opportunities to the younger workforce, and supporting education initiatives and programs meant to equip the youth with the right skills. I am particularly focused on creating awareness amongst industries on how to integrate solar PV solutions into their business operations. Look forward to continuing my tenure with the association.

Khawla Albloushi

Khawla AlBloushi has 13 years’ experience in internal and external audit in Government, and Semi –Government sectors, auditing various fields such as  Governance, Risk management, Performance Management, Corporate operations (HR, finance, IT etc.), alongside with her experience in providing valuable consultations in corporate policies, corporate  processes and challenges. Also, she has 7 years’ experience in business management and business improvement.

She graduated from Mohamed bin Rashid leadership program in two categories: A. Young and B. Community leadership.

Khawla holds a Master’sDegree in International Business from Wollongong University in Dubai, and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and MIS from University Of Sharjah.

Khawla holds Government Innovation Diploma from Cambridge University as she graduated from Mohammed bin Rashid innovation center in collaboration with and imperial college London and Cambridge University.

Currently, Khawla is working in Dubai Aviation City Corporation as Governance Audit and Risk Control Manager, and she was one of the team members who participated in establishing the corporate governance in Aviation Sector (Government) in Dubai.

Khawla is also a Board Member “Director of government relations, finance and governance “at Middle East Solar Industry Association ‘MESIA’. Also, she is an active member in Internal Audit Association ‘IIA’ and Sharjah Business Women Council.

With her great ambitious in business world, she has established tow companies, as she is the Co-founder and executive Director of Etechan International (Educational, Technology and R&D Company) and Bahanes General Trading (Providing products and services that promotes healthy lifestyle).

My vision for this role centers on amplifying our association’s impact and visibility in the global arena. I aim to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies that highlight MESIA’s initiatives and achievements in the solar energy sector. My goal is to build compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, enhancing member engagement and attracting international stakeholders. Through strategic partnerships, digital outreach, and impactful storytelling, I am committed to elevating MESIA’s profile, driving awareness about the importance of solar energy in the Middle East, and fostering a community of passionate renewable energy advocates. My objective is to turn MESIA into a leading voice in the global dialogue on sustainable energy solution and attract many new members from Europe and the USA.
