Abu Dhabi, UAE – 14 January 2026 – MESIA delivered another landmark edition of the MESIA Solar Awards Ceremony 2026 on 14 January 2026 during the World Future Energy Summit 2026, welcoming over 350 attendees solar and clean energy leaders from across the MENA region.
Introduced this year in a new format, the awards began with Phase One: Awards Ceremony at WFES, followed by Phase Two: Awards Networking Celebration at Aloft Abu Dhabi – Glow, creating an extended platform for industry recognition, engagement, and connection.
As one of MESIA’s flagship industry platforms, the Solar Awards continue to recognise the companies, projects, and individuals driving measurable progress across the regional solar value chain, from large-scale project delivery and technology deployment to sustainability leadership, talent development, and innovation shaping the next phase of clean energy growth.
The 2026 edition was supported by Jinko Solar, Sungrow, and Nextpower, reflecting strong industry engagement in celebrating performance, impact, and leadership across the market.
This year’s ceremony featured 20 award categories, highlighting achievements across utility-scale and distributed solar, enabling technologies, project finance, advisory services, and next-generation leadership.
“The Solar Awards celebrate the people and projects moving the region forward,” said Hinde Liepmannsohn, Managing Executive Director of MESIA. “The level of achievement this year was outstanding.”
A Milestone Moment at WFES 2026
The MESIA Solar Awards Ceremony 2026 took place during WFES 2026, one of the world’s premier forums bringing together energy leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers. The summit continues to showcase advancements in renewable energy technologies and strengthen dialogue around global sustainability priorities. Winners were selected by an independent jury panel of solar and energy experts from organizations such as, DEWA, Global Solar Council, Irena, PVI, MEBAS, and Khalifa University.
Held in this setting, the MESIA Solar Awards provided a dedicated moment to spotlight the people and organisations delivering real-world progress, and to recognise the projects and solutions helping accelerate the region’s transition to clean energy.
Award Highlights
Emerge Limited took home three awards including, Utility-Scale Solar Project Award (Emerge and Sharjah National Oil Corporation), C&I and Residential Project Award (Emerge Limited – ADNOC Stations), and MENA Solar Woman of the Year, awarded to Olla Hassan Ali Mohamed Riad (Emerge).
Positive Zero was recognised with the Sustainability Impact Award. In the regional supply chain category, Jinko Solar was awarded the Regional Solar Module Provider Award. Recognising technology leadership across the market, the Regional Inverter Provider Award was awarded to Solplanet and Huawei Digital Power Middle East & Central Asia.

Solar Outlook Report 2026 Launched at WFES
As part of MESIA’s presence at WFES, MESIA also officially launched the Solar Outlook Report 2026 on the second day of the summit, in collaboration with MESIA’s long-time partners at WFES.
The report was launched by Hinde Liepmannsohn, Managing Executive Director of MESIA, and provides essential market intelligence supporting stakeholders with insights into policy direction, market dynamics, project development pipelines, and technology and investment priorities.
